nobodies

you left your curled up body behind with the sun
but when we glow
alow the moon
and your eyes roll all
the way back
those invisible people
that are really only spiced perfume
or mismatched socks
or chewing gum
or regular
to you
they come alive at night
for what seems like hours
and is only minutes
they tiptoe
along the sidewalk that
runs between your ears and ends sooner
than it begins
you might remember
a handful of these
intrusive
one-hit wonders
for almost as
long
as it takes you to brush
your teeth and
dress,
but naught
